'Your Name' Earns US $627,208 On The First Day Of Release In U.S & Canada

The successful anime film 'Your Name' released in United States and Canada on 7th of April. According to the leading box office tracking website Box Office Mojo, Makoto Shinkai's film earned an estimated US $627, 208 on the first day itself. The film is released in 292 theaters in U.S and Canada and the per theater average revenue for Friday is higher than any film in the top 12.

'Your Name' anime film is written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. The film premiered at Anime Expo 2016 convention in Los Angeles, California on 3rd July 2016 and in Japan on 26th of August 2016. The film is adapted from his novel of the same name which was published one month before the film's premiere.


With the title of highest grossing anime film world-wide the film is not only successful commercially, but it has also received critical appreciation for its animation and emotional impact.
