Why Shueisha Called 2021 As My Hero Academia Year?

Japan-based popular publishing company Shueisha released the My Hero Academia manga's 29th compiled book volume on 4th January 2021. Shueisha declared that with the release of the recent volume, My Hero Academia manga now has more than 30 million copies in circulation (The number includes print as well as digital copies).


The 5th season of the anime adaptation of the manga will premiere on March 27. The 3rd instalment of its anime film adaptation is set to release this summer, while the franchise will hold its first art exhibit in the month of April. Shueisha is expecting this year to be a treat for My Hero Academia fans and called it as "My Hero Academia Year".

My Hero Academia a.k.a Boku No Hiro Akademia is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. Weekly Shonen Jump is serializing the manga since July 2014.
