The official Facebook page for Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block announced on Wednesday that it will begin airing the second anime season based on Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu's The Promised Neverland manga on April 10 at 1:30 a.m. EDT.
The full lineup for April 10 includes:
12:00 AM – Dragon Ball Super
12:30 AM – Attack on Titan: The Final Season
1:00 AM – Food Wars! The Third Plate
1:30 AM – The Promised Neverland
2:00 AM – Fire Force
2:30 AM – Black Clover
3:00 AM – Naruto Shippūden
3:30 AM – Demon Slayer
The second season aired on January 7. Funimation is streaming the series as it airs in Japan. Originally scheduled to premiere in October 2020, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The first season of the anime aired from January 11 to March 29, 2019, with 12-episodes.
Shirai and Posuka Demizu launched The Promised Neverland manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in August 2016. The series ended on June 15, 2020. Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print in North America. MANGA Plus also published the manga digitally in English. Weekly Shonen Jump published a new one-shot on January 4 for the manga, titled "We Were Born," which tells the story of "another The Promised Neverland."
A live-action film adaptation premiered on December 18, 2020
