That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2's New Promo Video Reveals New Cast, Song Artist

The official website for the second anime season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime released a new promotional video for the anime on Monday. The video revealed the anime's opening theme song "Storyteller" by TRUE, and also reveals new cast members. It also announced that STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION will perform the ending theme song.

The new cast members revealed are:

  • Manami Numakura (Kohaku in Dr. STONE) as Hinata Sakaguchi

  • Chiaki Kobayashi (Makoto "Edamame" Edamura in THE GREAT PRETENDER) as Shougo Taguchi

  • Sho Nogami (Suguru Dojima in Bloom Into You) as Kyouya Tachibana

  • Hiyori Kono (Phil in THE PROMISED NEVERLAND) as Kirara Mizutani

  • Ai Kakuma (Makomo in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Alvis

  • Yo Taichi (Rika Seo in Tsurune) as Sphere

  • Satoshi Hino (Rengoku in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Grousis

  • Atsumi Tanezaki (Mizore Yoroizuka in Sound! Euphonium and Liz and the Blue Bird) as Myuuran

The anime will premiere on January 12 in Japan. It is a split-cour anime and the second half will premiere in July 2021.


The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2, 2018, to March 19, 2019.

A spin-off anime series based on the Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime manga will premiere in April 2021.
