The highly anticipated second season of the anime, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime will premiere on January 5, 2021, in Japan, as announced by Funimation and Crunchyroll.
Funimation will stream the English-subtitled version on January 5, and it will stream an English dub at a date to be announced later. Crunchyroll will simultaneously stream the season in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.
The second season will run in two parts, the first part will premiere on January 5, 2021, and the second one will premiere in July 2021.
Eight Bit will be returning to animate the series. The staff and cast from the first season are also confirmed to return for the new season.
Fuse originally serialized the series as a web novel on the user-generated content site Shōsetsuka ni Narō between February 20, 2013, and January 1, 2016. Taiki Kawakami launched a manga adaptation in Kodansha's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius on March 26, 2015.
The first season of the anime aired in Japan from October 2, 2018, to March 19, 2019, with 24-episodes. A further 5-OVA's were also released.
