Seven Deadly Sins Season 4 Anime to Premiere on Jan 6, Promo Video Reveals Finale Arc Story, Staff

The official website for the Seven Deadly Sins anime on Wednesday revealed a new promotional video and visual for Nanatsu no Taizai: Fundo no Shinpan (The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement), the 4th season of the series. The video previews the finale arc story and revealed the anime's staff and January 6 premiere date on TV Tokyo.


The main staff and cast members are returning from the previous season to reprise their roles. Susumu Nishizawa returns to direct the anime at Studio DEEN, with Marvy Jack collaborating on the animation production. Rintarou Ikeda is back to supervise the series scripts. Rie Nishino is the animation character designer. Chikako Yokota is directing the sound, and Hiroyuki Sawano, Kohta Yamamoto, and Takafumi Wada are again composing the music.

The series was delayed from its originally planned October release as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Netflix also officially announced that the upcoming series has been slated for a release on their be streaming platform in 2021. It released a new English-subtitled teaser trailer for the series.


The first season of the TV anime aired from October 5, 2014, to March 29, 2015, with 24 episodes. The second season of the anime aired from January 13 to October 30, 2018, with 24 episodes. The third season aired from October 9, 2019, to March 25, 2020, with 24 episodes.


Nakaba Suzuki launched The Seven Deadly Sins manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012 and ended it on March 25, 2020. The series is licensed for English language release in North America by Kodansha USA, who published the first volume on March 11, 2014. As the series was published in Japan, it was released simultaneously in English digitally by Crunchyroll in over 170 countries.
