The anime introduced a new character named 'Cartaphilus' who looks like a child and is called 'Wandering Jew' among magicians. His interests and intentions are unknown to everyone.
The voice for the character 'Cartaphilus' is given by Ayumu Murase. When asked about the role Ayumu commented ‘I will take on the role of Cartaphilus. Of course, I read the original and the magic and grotesque creatures are really exciting, and while it was interesting, it was a mysterious series that makes one question your own views on life and death. The recordings have been going smooth and everybody can look forward to the series!’
The anime series is composed and directed by Norihiro Naganuma and produced by WIT Studio, while the screenplay is written by Aya Takaha. Hirotaka Kato is doing the character design. Music is produced by Flying Dog and is composed by Junichi Matsumoto.
Atsumi Tanezaki is playing the role of Chise Hatori, Ryota Rakeuchi is giving voice for Elias Anisworth. Kaido Yuka will give voice for the character Angelica Varley and Toshikyuki Morikawa sill provide voice for Simon Kalm. Junichi Suwabe will be seen as Seth Moel and Daisuke Namikawa as Lindel. Michael Renferd will be voiced by Satoshi hino and Alice by Mutsumi Tamura. Koki Uchiyama will give voice for Ruth, Ayo Endo for Silver and Sayaka Ohara will act as Titania in the series.
The Ancient Magus' Bride is a Japanese fantasy shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki. The series is published in Japan by Mag Garden in its Monthly Comic Garden magazine. The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. A three-part prequel anime is being produced by Wit Studio, and an anime television series adaptation will begin airing in October 2017.
