Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is officially coming to an end with the release of its final volume next month. Oricon news announced that the manga series will be releasing the last volume on December 4th in Japan. Shueisha will be printing roughly 5 million copies of the final volume aggregating to somewhat over a whopping 120 million prints overall including both physical and digital copies.

However, creators have something extra in store for the fans of this dark-fantasy anime saga of a demon slayer and his half-demon little sister. According to the latest reports, the series creator Koyoharu Gotouge will be returning to the series for a special epilogue chapter. This 14-pages chapter will be added as a bonus in the final volume, along with another 25 pages comprising of the bonus content onto the final chapter of the series to further flesh out the series’ ending.

This will add as a booster for the fans who are waiting for the manga to be adapted into anime as these 39 pages of extra content can be animated into several additional episodes as well upon the release of anime’s further seasons.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga ended earlier this year in May with above 100 million copies in circulation making it the second most successful manga printed and circulated by Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine after of course, Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece.

The manga will also be having an additional art book featuring artwork by Goutuge himself, and a second Fanbook which will also be shipped along with the final shipment of series on December 4th.

the extra pages will most likely be sharing glimpses of the lives of Tanjiro and Nezuko after they have achieved what they wanted and how they are living up to their ideal later in their lives. On the other hand, they could also lay a brief foundation of the next generations of demon slayer corps to come, if there are any.
