How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Anime Set for July 2021 Release, Reveals Cast, Staff

The official website for the television anime of Dojyomaru's How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom (Genjitsushugi Yūsha no Ōkoku Saikenki) light novel series opened on Wednesday and revealed its July 2021 release date, the anime's cast, staff, and visual.

Yūsuke Kobayashi voices the protagonist Kazuya Souma, while Inori Minase voices the heroine Liscia Elfrieden.

The series is animated by J.C.Staff and directed by Takashi Watanabe, with Gō Zappa and Hiroshi Ōnogi penning the scripts, Mai Otsuka designing the characters, and Akiyuki Tateyama composing the series' music.

The story description is as follows:

""O, Hero!"

With that clichéd line, Kazuya Souma found himself summoned to another world and his adventure——did not begin. After he presents his plan to strengthen the country economically and militarily, the king cedes the throne to him and Souma finds himself saddled with ruling the nation! What's more, he's betrothed to the king's daughter now...?! In order to get the country back on its feet, Kazuya calls the wise, the talented, and the gifted to his side. Five people gather before the newly crowned Souma. Just what are the many talents and abilities they possess...?! What path will his outlook as a realist take Kazuya and the people of his country down? A revolutionary transferred-to-another-world administrative fantasy series starts here!"

Originally started as a web novel in 2014 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō but being subsequently deleted and resumed on Pixiv, How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom as a light novel series is written by Dojyomaru and illustrated by Fuyuyuki. The first volume was published by Overlap Bunko in 2016. Digital English light novel publisher J-Novel Club announced their acquisition of the series on February 23, 2017. Seven Seas Entertainment will release the light novel in print.

J-Novel Club released the 12th volume of the novels digitally on August 22, and Seven Seas Entertainment released the sixth volume in print on April 14. J-Novel Club is releasing the fifth volume of the manga digitally on November 4.
