International streaming giant, Netflix has been giving the fans a handful of wholesome news lately. Another one is here to add into the list.
Netflix has announced that a whole new anime based on the popular fictional character ‘Godzilla’ is on its way. Through the announcement, Netflix also mentioned that the series will obviously be set in the Godzilla universe but would, most certainly, not be following any of the previous stories that have been told by the movies. Godzilla Singular Point presents all-new storyline with no links to the previous Hollywood movie trilogy, which also features on Netflix.
This Godzilla venture brings together two famous animation studios, Bones and Orange to create this animated series which will stream in 2021 on Netflix, and broadcasted on Japanese televisions in the April of the same year.
The confirmed crew and staff include Atsushi Takahashi as its director. Atsushi has directed movies like Doraemon The Movie: Great Adventures in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi. Takahashi’s hand-drawn art will be, for the first time joining hands with masterful CG animation of the studios like Bones, the studio behind My Hero Academia, and Studio Orange, series behind Bastards. The fusion of Takahashi’s drawings and Studios’ CG animations has already made this venture one of the most anticipated anime projects of the year 2021.
Netflix also mentioned that creative team of Kan Sawada, who has composed numerous Doraemon Movies and successful Japanese Sci-Fi novelist Toh Enjoe will be working n the story and inputs of Godzilla Singular Point anime. Kazue Kato will be having his hands full as the official character designer of the show alongside Eiji Yamamori, genius animator of several Studio Ghibli movies such as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke.
Godzilla Singular Point will be serving as a completely different experience than what earlier Godzilla movies have shown. Fans are excited to see the fused form of hand-drawn characters with advanced CG animation techniques. This series is supported by an extremely skilled team full of prominent artists which enhances the buzz of the movie more than ever.
