Gintama Anime To Re-run With New Opening And Ending Songs!

According to the popular website Anime News Network this year's 17th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will soon announce the rerun of Gintama anime. The re-run is titled as Yorinuke Gintama -san and it is expected to start airing from 2nd of April 2017. The re-run will have new opening and ending songs. It will also feature comments by the cast of the upcoming live-action film.

The new opening and ending theme songs were already confirmed in the previous issue of Weekly Shonen Jump earlier this month. CHICO with Honeyworks will perform the opening theme songs "Kyō mo Sakura Mau Akatsuki ni", and XY will perform the series' new ending theme "We Gotta Fight."

The ongoing fifth series will be directed by Chizuru Miyawaki, while Shinji Takeuchi will serve as chief animation director and character designer. Yoichi Fujita will be once again supervising the anime.
