Fuji TV To Telecast A Special Episode Of One Piece To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of The Manga!

Fuji TV will be telecasting the One Piece Episode of East Blue: Luffy to 4-nin no Nakama no Daibōken (Luffy and His 4 Crew-mates' Big Adventure) on 26th of August. The two hour long special will air from 9:00 p.m to 11:10 p.m.


The official website of One Piece franchise released 60 second promotional video and revealed the character designs for Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji on Saturday.

The special is being aired to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the manga. It will be a completely new work, featuring reanimated scenes from the beginning of the series till the crew entering the Grand Line. It will also feature anime versions of the original manga's chapter cover stores in the end credtis. The end credits will also feature the whereabouts of Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook before they joined the Straw Hat crew.


Additionally, the anime will feature a special 20th anniversary commemoration version of the original opening theme song "We Are!".


The special is directed by Takashi Otsuka and the script is written by Tomohira Nakayama. Masayuki Sato is the character designer as well as the chief animation director.
