Makers of Eureka Seven anime, Studio Bones recently announced a new film trilogy for the same series titled 'Kōkyōshihen Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution' (Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution). The first movie will release in Japan this year, while the next two films will be released in the next consecutive years.
Much of the original staff of the series is returning for the project, including chief director Tomoki Kyoda, scriptwriter Dai Sato, character designer Kenichi Yoshida, mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori, conceptual designer Kazutaka Miyatake, and designers Shingo Takeba, Yutaka Izubuchi, and Shigeto Koyama.
The films will follow The First Summer of Love phenomenon that occurred a decade before the first Eureka Seven series. The plot will remain same as that of the first Eureka Seven series, but the film will have an original ending. It will have completely re-recorded lines, redone footage, and new scenes.
