Doraemon The Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan to Air on Hungama TV on September 12

The 2016 anime film, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan will air on Hungama TV in India on September 12 at 11:36 a.m. IST. The channel will air a rerun at 2:29 p.m. IST on the same day.


The channel will also air the reruns of the film on September 13 at 10:30 a.m. IST, 6:00 p.m. IST, and 8:00 p.m. IST and on September 14 at 12:00 a.m. IST

The original movie aired in Japan in March 1989. Subsequently, the film was remade and opened in theatres across Japan on March 5, 2016. The original film has the record of the largest theatergoing audience in the Doraemon film franchise, with 4.2 million copies sold.

The story follows Nobita as he comes up with the idea of running away from home because he is always being scolded at home and school. Additionally, Gian, Shizuka, and Suneo all have their reasons for running away from home. Together with Doraemon, they all travel through time to the Japan of 70,000 years ago.


Shinnosuke Yakuwa (Director of Doraemon the Movie: Nobita in the New Haunts of Evil - Peko and the Five Explore) directed and wrote the scripts for the 2016 remake film.
