Demon Slayer: Mugen Train’s Release Date Revealed

Demon Slayer is one of the most anticipated anime films of 2020 which was announced right at the wrapping up of the very first season of the hit anime series Kimetsu No Yaiba.


Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie Mugen Train continues the story right from where it was left in the season’s finale. The movie was slated to be released in September 2020, but with the latest announcement on Kimetsu no Yaiba’s official USA Twitter handle, the date of Mugen Train is confirmed. The official website for Demon Slayer announced today that the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie Mugen Train anime film will be releasing on IMAX alongside the regular showings on October 16th, 2020.


The website and Twitter account announced the news by releasing an old poster with a new enhanced colour pallet with a big IMAX logo on it having the release date on its side.


The IMAX will be releasing the much-awaited anime film with enhanced sound technology with the best display quality having the highest pixels providing the most fulfilling experience of watching a film in a perfectly enclosed theatre. Other significant sound effects such as the Train and battle movements have been specially formatted for IMAX along with the high-quality visuals.

Mugen Train will be released in all 38 IMAX theatres across Japan, and become the first Japanese film of 2020 to be released on IMAX.
