Fans of the Demon Slayer franchise should be delighted as Shueisha has recently announced that it will be releasing a novel adaptation of the Demon Slayer: Kimitsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train on October 16th, the same day the film releases in Japan. Aya Yajima, the writer of the previous three novels of the franchise will be penning the new novel again.
Returning for the film are the main staff members of the previous television anime. The main Japanese and English casts of the series will reprise their roles in the movie. The film will be distributed in Japan by TOHO and Aniplex. Funimation and Aniplex of America are partnering up together to distribute it in North America in 2021.
The Demon Slayer manga is written by Koyoharu Gotouge and has over 80 million copies in circulation. It received an anime adaptation that aired in Japan from April 6 to September 28, 2019. It has been considered as one of the best anime of the 2010s.
