Uzumaki Anime Announced Its Male Lead Voice Actor For Japanese Version!

The official Twitter account of upcoming horror anime Uzumaki recently announced that Shin-Ichiro Miki (Voice actor of Kamado Tanjuro from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Sir Nighteye from My Hero Academia Season 4) will voice the lead male character Shuichi Saito in the Japanese version. Earlier this month it was revealed that Uki Satake will play the female lead character Kirie Goshima in the Japanese version.




Uzumaki is an upcoming 4 episodic mini-horror anime series. The anime is adapted from Junji Ito's popular manga of the same name. The anime series is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama (Mushi-Shi) and is co-produced by Production I.G. USA and Adult Swim. The music is composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary) and the animation for the mini-series is done by Studio Drive. The release date of the series is yet not revealed, however it is said that the mini-anime series will first air on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block before its Japanese premiere.

Uzumaki Manga Plot: Uzumaki follows a high-school teenager, Kirie Goshima ; her boyfriend, Shuichi Saito; and the citizens of the small, fictional Japanese town of Kurouzu-cho (Black Vortex Town), which is cursed by supernatural events involving spirals.


The manga inspired a live-action horror film starring Eriko Hatsune and Fan Fhi in 2000.
